Groovebox Music has released Brainwerks: Pro Tools Operator which is actually made by me. It’s a Pro Tools tutorial DVD with over 2 hours of material. It won’t teach you how to mix, but shows some ways you can work with Pro Tools that I think goes beyond the manual. Groovebox says it’s for intermediate to advanced users.
You can view the contents here on Groovebox website.
I find it a bit weird to post the press release here when I’m the man behind it so instead I’ll just direct you to the page on Groovebox Music where you can read more about it. You can of course ask any questions right here in the comments field that you might have about it.

Popular (and useful) audio software Audio Hijack Pro has been updated to version 2.8.3. It’s a minor update with the only announced changes being:
- MegaMix mode has been improved for use with VoIP apps like Skype and iChat.
- Fixed a rare issue with timers ending at midnight.
Audio Hijack basically lets you record any audio, including things like Skype conversations, which perhaps makes it particularly interesting to people doing interviews over the web.

I usually say that I don’t really take vacations, and unfortunately I think it’s close to the truth. The last few weeks however I’ve spent much less time on work and more time out in the summer sun. Because of this posts have been a little scarce. But worry not! I’ll be back with some meaty articles soon.
