Sometimes you’ve been a bad boy and Santa won’t bother with bringing you any gifts (yep, that’s him at the picture). At those rare occasions you might have to give something to yourself. Here are a few tips for podcasters.
Røde Podcaster – If I were to get a USB microphone I would first have a look at this. Why? Because Røde is a well known microphone company that actually makes quality microphones. The link is only to the Podcasters website. Rødes regular website can be found here.
M-Audio Session Music Producer – If you’re really, really low on cash, then this could perhaps be interesting. I haven’t tried it so don’t blame me if it isn’t good.
iZotope RX – Do you do field recording? Are they noisy? Check out RX. I’ve promised you a full review of it and you’ll get it some day. For now, check out the clip I cleaned up really quickly.
I’ve talked a fair bit about hand-held recorders in the past. If I were on the hunt for one personally, I would probably check out the Korg MR-1. It’s not the prettiest, but it seems like a good idea.
