Some of our favorite podcasts are international ones, and we often wish there were more podcasts that deal with global issues to follow. They especially come in handy when planning a trip, whether for business or pleasure, to a foreign country; audio is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in a culture before the fact.

Which is what we did before a recent trip to Korea. Scouring the web for Korean podcasts, we discovered three that are worth subscribing to:

Korean Champ

Sadly, this podcast hasn’t been updated in over a year now. A shame, because its a great language-learning podcast, with topics such as “Bragging in Korean about your Korean” and- our personal favorite- “Explosive Korean Slang”. Another podcast dealing with learning the language is Weekly Korean, which we also recommend.

The Korea Society

Another U.S.-based podcast that deals with a vast number of Korean-related topics, The Korea Society regularly podcasts about North Korean politics and Korean news.
